I guess it's time to update this blog, it's only been 7 months since the last post.
Damion turned nine this last Saturday. Can't believe it's been 9 years already!!!! He had a huge birthday party at Godfathers, we took up the entire place by the time everyone showed up. And it was mostly family, I think only a couple of friends from school made it. He got tons of presents!! Lots of nerf guns, and a slingshot from Uncle Eric (thanks a lot! jk) and Nintendo DS, money, a cool hot wheels track, too much stuff to name, but pretty much everything a boy could want. Thanks everyone! I wish I could be the mom that made him write thank you notes, but I was so busy the entire party that I don't even know who got him what. I did make him read the card before he opened the present that went with it though, so that he could say thank you, but that kind of backfired because then he was yelling "Where's the card? Doesn't this have a card?! So then I was trying to explain that I didn't say there HAD to be a card, just that if there was one to read it first so he knew who to thank. Anyways, he had a great birthday!

Halloween is this weekend, I'm excited. Damion is going to be Darth Vader, the scariest thing I would allow him to be. Only because he just wants to scare his little brother. Even with the Darth Vader mask on he's scary to Alex and he runs after him yelling cause he thinks it's so funny.
Alex is going to be Elvis finally, if I can convince him to wear the costume for more than a minute. It looks so cute! I will definitely post pictures.

Speaking of Elivis, Aaron and I recently went to Las Vegas for my best friends wedding. We had a lot of fun! The wedding was simple and sweet, but no, they did not get married by Elivis. It was next to a Lake and it was beautiful. I am so glad that I was able to go!!! I miss her so much and wished we lived closer. Darn you for moving Rhiann!!!!
After Las Vegas we drove to the Grand Canyon and then over to New Mexico. We got to visit my dad for a day and Aaron's friend Joe and his family. The entire week was busy, lots of driving, but it was wonderful! Plus I won $1000 in an Indian casino in Albuquerque. Yay! I have probably put that much money into the Wheel of Fortune slot machines over the years determined to win and I finally did! I've been saying now I can be done, but I know I'd probably play it again given the chance.

Work is crazy. Crazy things are happening, and we'll see how it all turns out. :)

Here are some random new pictures. Alex and his cousins' Ella and Genevieve sharing a banana, The boys helping Grandma Becky blow out her birthday candles, A new picture of Damion and Alexander, and a picture of some of the McInturff girlies.
I would post pictures of mine and Alex's cowboy party, but I didn't have a camera that worked for a while, so my mom has pictures of it but I don't.

CHRISTMAS

Here are a few new pictures: Me and Alex, The Boys on Christmas morning before opening presents, and some snow pictures. I would just like to say that our deck is now covered with 3-4 feet of snow. It has been snowing like crazy here and it's supposed to keep on coming down. My mom took the boys out to play in it one day and said Alex would only sled down the hill a couple of times, but then would say "No". I took them outside the next day and I also got him to sled with me, but only 2-3 times. I think it made him very nervous. Damion, on the other hand, loves to sled and had a blast playing in the snow. He's been with his dad for the last few days, but sounds like they have been having a lot of fun sledding and building forts.
Christmas was great and the kids had a lot of fun playing with cousins and opening presents. They definitely made out and I have a box of toys sitting here that need to go to the Salvation Army to make room for the new stuff, once the snow goes away. We also got some cool stuff, like a Bunn coffee maker and a new pots and pans set from my mom. Here was our schedule: We got up and opened presents, went to Aaron's mom's, Vicki and Sonny's, and opened presents, went to my mom's and had brunch (eggs benedict) and then opened presents and hung out for awhile. Damion's dad came to pick him up so he could go to his other grandma's house. Then Aaron, Alex and I went back to his mom's house and we had an awesome prime rib dinner. Fun, yet busy.
While I am writing this Alex is climbing all over me, looking at the pictures, and whispering "snow boot" in my ear. It's cute and annoying at the same time. Oh yeah, I also said a four letter "bad word" starting with SH and ending with IT, and of course Alex had to say it, plain as day, right after me. Oops, need to start watching my mouth, not that I curse very much to begin with. Well, I hope everyone is doing well and had a wonderful Christmas!!! Also, have a great and safe NEW YEAR, 2009 Already!!! Time flies!

Alexander got his haircut a couple of days ago, he looks so different. Not like a little baby anymore. Here's a before picture (which I messed up his hair a bit, as you can tell) and an after picture. We also went for a little walk on our beach earlier in the day, so he's all bundled up in his snowsuit since it's been getting pretty cold. It used to be Damion's and it reminds me so much of his brother when I see him in it.

Halloween 2008

Damion was a SWAT team guy and Alexander was supposed to be Elvis, but his costume didn't make it here, so at the last minute we got him a pirate costume. He was not impressed with the hat and refused to wear it. But he did really enjoy trick or treating! Damion decided he was tired around 7pm and he wanted to go home. Strange. So we ate McDonald's for dinner, stopped at Great Grandma's and Grandma Vicki's and Aaron and the boys went home, while I went to a Halloween party at a friends house. I was dressed as Wednesday Addams. I would post a picture, but I don't have any. Hope everyone else had a great Halloween!

Damion's Birthday

Damion is eight now :) His birthday was yesterday and he had his friend Jake spend the night. I tortured myself by taking them to go see High School Musical 3, but they had a good time. There was one kissing scene and Jake covered his eyes and Damion closed his, thank goodness they still think it's gross. I let Damion open his presents yesterday, but his birthday party is tomorrow. He was pretty excited. Between family and friends and classmates, I'm sure it will be crazy.
We just got our first rain/snow slush mix this morning. It was only for a few minutes, but I'm sure that it means that snow is coming. Time to change the tires on the car.
I've taken that last few days off of work because my daycare provider, Kim, is on vacation. Good thing too because Alex is sick again. He's got a fever and runny nose and got sick last night. Poor thing, he seems to be doing a little better today at least. Hopefully he doesn't get everyone sick tomorrow at the party. My mom will be home tomorrow so she is going to watch him for the next two weeks until Kim gets back.

Aaron and I had a great time in Seattle. We just went for 3 days, but we met some awesome people, I got to see my best friend and I got to meet one of Aaron's, and we did tons of stuff. We went to the aquarium, Seattle Center, we had brunch at the top of the Space Needle, we went to a burlesque show at the Can Can. We shopped, we ate great food, we toured Underground Seattle. It was a lot of fun, but we were ready to come home to the kiddos.

Trying to Diet

Battle Of The Bulge

"I'll start a new one Monday", we've heard it all before,
but if I don't really start one soon I won't make it through the door.

I start with good intentions of that I can't deny,
I'm getting fatter by the hour, I'll really have to try.

So no more chips or chocolate, no more 'pigging out'
I'll be be very careful what I eat of that there'll be no doubt.

I'll watch my waist get tiny, I'll watch my figure thin,
Oh what a joy it's going to be to at last be nice and slim.

I can see me walking down the street in dress size number ten,
I just have to resist and resist I will when I get a hungry yen.

With exercise in every form and regular daily jogs,
you'll see me lazing by the pool in my top designer togs.

So come join me all you tubbies, come join with me at last,
I'll need all the help that I can get to get me through this fast.

If you see me eating lollies or sneaking greasy fries,
then smack my hand and click your tongue, remind me of my size.

I'm sure that I can make it, I just need a little space
before Monday comes around again, till then I'll "stuff my face"!

Well, some of them are repeats but I don't know how to take them off and I'm too tired to figure it out. But at least I posted new pictures, yay! These are from a few weeks ago.

No New Pictures

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, so here's an update. Alex has been sick, he threw up a couple of times on Friday and Saturday, had a fever all weekend and Monday. The last few nights he has woken up screaming and crying. I brought him to the doctor yesterday and he was happy as could be, running around and getting into everything. She said his ears were a little red, but didn't want to give him antibiotics because he was doing so well. She said to just give him some ibuprofen before bedtime. So we're in the waiting room and five minutes later he's screaming and crying and miserable again. I tried to see if the doctor was still there but of course she was gone already. We waited a little longer and saw another lady. Two hours later we left the Dr office with amoxicillan (sp?), ibuprofen, and Tylenol. She also said his ears weren't that bad, but gave him the antibiotics anyway. Hopefully he'll get better soon because mom and dad are tired of getting up in the middle of the night every night. Other than being sick, he's doing excellent. He is talking more and more and copying his big brother. He's been singing E-I-E-I-O from the Old McDonald Had a Farm. It's pretty darn cute.
Damion, started the soccer season. He's had one game so far. Unfortunately Alex threw up right before we got to the field so I spent most of the game cleaning him up and finding him so clothes. Damion had a blast though. School starts a week from today. He's so funny, he won't admit that he likes school. He said the other day, "I can't wait until school starts, but not really." I asked if he missed his friends and he said "yeah, and I want to wear my new clothes!" It's the same way about haircuts. Our friend and neighbor, Nan, cut his hair recently. I told him I like his haircut and he said, "Me too, but not really." Heaven forbid he liked getting his haircut. Hopefully we can go buy school supplies after work today. I think that'll make him even more excited.
I have decided to take a few classes this year. I enrolled in a business degree at UAS. I will be taking Intro to Business and Record Keeping for Small Business. They are both web classes, so wish me luck. I have never completed a web class because I am such a procrastinator. Although they are the only two I'm taking and I'm paying for them myself so maybe that'll give me the motivation I need. Anyways, I better get busy :)

Dad and Alex, playing in the waves.
Damion and Peyton dressed up as Spiderman. We miss Paige and Peyton. And Rhiann :)
I forgot my camera during the Blueberry Festival, but the weather has been beautiful for the last couple of days. Yay, we finally get some sunshine. We went to Settler's Cove yeterday for a little while. Alex got really cold so we didn't stay too long. Damion was with his dad, so no pictures of him at the beach. Alex is so fearless, he just walks right into the freezing cold water.
Playing in the toy box!
Aaron, Alex and Auntie Aimee
Damion bought a plane made of old pop cans at the Blueberry Festival. It's pretty cool :)
Alexander and Grandma Vicki. Poor Fritz, he's looking at Aaron like PLEASE SAVE ME!!!

Nothing new in Ketchikan. Except that I heard that it might be nice this weekend. I'm not holding my breath though. I am taking the kids to the Blueberry Festival tomorrow, so I will take lots of pictures to post. Have a great weekend :)

Settler's Cove

It wasn't too nice out today, but it wasn't horrible either, so on the way home from the grocery store Alex and I went to Settler's Cove. Alex had a great time hanging out on the beach as you can see from the pictures. He kept going in the cold, cold water, crazy boy!
