I guess it's time to update this blog, it's only been 7 months since the last post.
Damion turned nine this last Saturday. Can't believe it's been 9 years already!!!! He had a huge birthday party at Godfathers, we took up the entire place by the time everyone showed up. And it was mostly family, I think only a couple of friends from school made it. He got tons of presents!! Lots of nerf guns, and a slingshot from Uncle Eric (thanks a lot! jk) and Nintendo DS, money, a cool hot wheels track, too much stuff to name, but pretty much everything a boy could want. Thanks everyone! I wish I could be the mom that made him write thank you notes, but I was so busy the entire party that I don't even know who got him what. I did make him read the card before he opened the present that went with it though, so that he could say thank you, but that kind of backfired because then he was yelling "Where's the card? Doesn't this have a card?! So then I was trying to explain that I didn't say there HAD to be a card, just that if there was one to read it first so he knew who to thank. Anyways, he had a great birthday!
Halloween is this weekend, I'm excited. Damion is going to be Darth Vader, the scariest thing I would allow him to be. Only because he just wants to scare his little brother. Even with the Darth Vader mask on he's scary to Alex and he runs after him yelling cause he thinks it's so funny.
Alex is going to be Elvis finally, if I can convince him to wear the costume for more than a minute. It looks so cute! I will definitely post pictures.
Speaking of Elivis, Aaron and I recently went to Las Vegas for my best friends wedding. We had a lot of fun! The wedding was simple and sweet, but no, they did not get married by Elivis. It was next to a Lake and it was beautiful. I am so glad that I was able to go!!! I miss her so much and wished we lived closer. Darn you for moving Rhiann!!!!
After Las Vegas we drove to the Grand Canyon and then over to New Mexico. We got to visit my dad for a day and Aaron's friend Joe and his family. The entire week was busy, lots of driving, but it was wonderful! Plus I won $1000 in an Indian casino in Albuquerque. Yay! I have probably put that much money into the Wheel of Fortune slot machines over the years determined to win and I finally did! I've been saying now I can be done, but I know I'd probably play it again given the chance.
Work is crazy. Crazy things are happening, and we'll see how it all turns out. :)
